Holiday on April 28, 2017 due to ASEAN Summit

Due to the ASEAN Summit on April 29 and other related meetings, Malacañang declared April 27 and 28 as non-working holidays in parts of Metro Manila Work. All government offices in Manila, Makati, and Pasay are suspended from April 27-28. Work in both government and private offices in Metro Manila will be suspended on Friday – April 28, 2017.

Work suspension on April 29 depends on the announcement of the affected local government units and employers.

A week-long work suspension will be implemented from April 24-30 (Monday to Sunday) for government offices located inside the Philippine International Convention Center Complex in Pasay City. On the other hand, work in government offices located at the Cultural Center of the Philippines Complex will be suspended from April 28-30.

Classes in all public and private schools in Metro Manila are also suspended on April 28, Friday. But schools in Pasay, Makati and Manila however have the discretion to suspend classes in their respective schools on April 27.

The ASEAN leaders’ meeting is set on April 29 at the Philippine International Convention Center in Pasay City.
