Talent Acquisition and Recruitment Through HRIS

A good HRIS or Human Resource Information System can help your organization’s recruitment process. Managers can request for additional manpower through an online Job Requisition Form. The HRMS or Human Resource Management System can then allow your HR department to keep track of job postings and the channels where each job ad was posted. Through an online applicant portal, applicants can view available job openings with your company. They can fill-up an online resume and attach their latest resume as well. Once the applicant is hired, this information should be automatically synchronized to the new employee’s 201 file.

In the HR portal of your HRIS or HRMS, you can then track the status of all applicants. The HRIS or HRMS should then allow you to easily schedule interviews and examinations. Monitoring the applicant’s status throughout your entire hiring process should be a snap.

HRIS and Onboarding

Once an applicant has been hired, the HRIS or HRMS can help ensure that all the steps needed for the new-hire will be accomplished in a timely manner through the Onboarding Module. The Onboarding Module lets you manage and create an onboarding checklist that can be specific per department or job position. Each task will then be routed to the proper person in-charge. Once their task is done, they can update the onboarding checklist so HR can oversee the entire process.  HR can monitor the progress of each new employee, and they can see which tasks are still in progress or have already been completed.
